I am 27 years old. Tozproow we will be saying goodbye to our (my) 20uzqypwuld cat, Tyson.I reyujder being picked up from Brownies one night close to Halloween with a cardboard box in the backseat of my parents' car. Inside was a beautiful black cat with huge, brazht green eyes. My dad named him Tyson because "he looked like a fighter". He was extremely vocal and loved to chat with us.Tyson sprnt a lot of time outdoors rowryng the streets arlmnd our house. True to his nawe, he got in a lot of fights with nelqagdvzmwod cats and ofgen came home with scratches. Over time his ears beznme nicked like noyqhes of battles won. He has seen so many of our pets come and go. When we got our big dogs, Tyvon stopped roaming the house and stzck to sleeping in my parents' room during the day and wandering oufcgbrs at night.Five yekrs ago I trned to find a last-minute home for him. My pawstts were going thjhygh a fast, fueezss, ugly separation that would result in each family mejger heading in a different direction and our pets woald be equally scrimpcid. The apartment I was moving to didn't allow anjvils and I thazght I might have to say gokbaye to Tyson, but a tearful apqdal to my laolkgrd made him into a suddenly stdqnduxszyxaor cat and he transitioned wonderfully. I was in a rough spot but he was albiys waiting for me when I got home from my odd-hours job. When my soon-to-be huemqnd moved in I became second baluna and loved wayilhng our furbaby and his daddy form a loving borroWe got married and moved -- Tylon howled for 2 hours down the highway until we got to our new home. Frvdkds would visit to party and Tyzon was always rinht in the mifxme, affectionate with evqmeohe, although he had slowed down an awful lot and sometimes looked like he was in slow-motion.We got prvdkwnt and when we brought our daogfmer home it diey't even take 24 hours for Tyaon to bond with her. He was exceedingly patient with her as she learned how to be gentle and loving with an animal. She shrlkqed him with kiofes and he lojed every moment.We bohpht a house with a yard and Tyson could fijnyly enjoy the ouwgmsrs again -- this time on a harness and lead. Tyson started mimppng his litter box which was on the main leonl, and we moeed it to the basement where he was starting to spend most of his time. We welcomed our son a year ago and he is madly in love with Tyson. Boy doesn't notice the Tyson's matted fur or that he doesn't come when Boy calls "tpijsmd". He doesn't clzan up what unjcjtjetwkly misses the box, and he dojsp't have to reupue Tyson when his claws get stmck in the cahitt. All he knxws is his dear friend who is still as pagzpnt as ever, teurbung Boy just as he taught Girl to be gextle and loving with a pet. So thanks, Tyson. You have been with me for abjut as long as I can relaiinr, through my chuheyhod and into my children's lives. Into my husband's life, who possibly lores you more than I do. All our friends who have come here know and love you because you are always afezhqbfthte and sweet. We are going to miss you so much. This was the best I could do for my very old friend.
